Beginning Friday, August 1, the new shuttle will service Cabell Library at the corner of Cathedral Place and Floyd Avenue, and Larrick Student Center at the corner of N. 9th Street and Turpin Street. The shuttle will run Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and allow the VCU community to travel between campuses – within 10 to 15 minutes – by offering direct, point-to-point service. These stops are not duplicative of current GRTC service locations.

The new shuttle service will help provide efficient transportation for the VCU community. This implemented service supports the growing academic demand for students needing to take classes on both campuses as well as furthers the One VCU mission, enabling students, faculty, and staff to connect more easily and encourage interdisciplinary efforts.

“We are dedicated to supporting the VCU community and connecting our students and campuses,” said Josh Stone, executive director of VCU Parking & Transportation. “With growing transportation demand between the two campuses, we’re excited to launch RamsXpress to better meet the needs of our students through quicker, more direct service.”

Students will be able to track the RamsXpress shuttle in real time using the Ride Pingo app. VCU students and employees will also continue to have access to the GRTC network.
